I have not worked in an actual library before, but I am familiar with the setting of one. I think approachability is very important in a library as many people do not like to ask questions and / or may be shy etc. I think brightly colored large signs make it easier for people to see many of the things they may be looking for, along with arrows posted pointing them in the right direction. From the readings, many things were familiar to me as I have worked with students in a library setting ( a computer lab, where the library was right downstairs). I think libraries should become more computerized in the coming years, and maybe have computers or some kind of pads set up in the front where people can easily type in what they are looking for and ask questions virtually instead of having to ask someone at the desk. This would possibly free up some time for the librarians and could be something worth considering. I am not sure about the value of libraries in todays world, since electronics seem to be taking over most things. I must say I myself do not walk into a library unless I ABSOLUTELY have to, and even then I still don't like to go. I do most of my research online, and I am sooooo in love with my kindle it's not even funny. But that is just my personal opinion, to each his own.
I am slighly more comfortable with this blogging thing, being that this is only my second time doing so. I like the fact that blogging is more conversational in comparison to the disussion forums where we have to answer the question given. I also like being able to voice my opinions, and not just state facts from what we have read in our textbook. I am not saying that I am going to be running out and blogging about everything in my spare time, but I have found it to be a little better than I first conceived it to be. I am looking forward to learning more in this class and I hope whoever reads this enjoys at least a little of it...

Allysons blogging experience
I have to admit, I am not a big fan of blogging. I had a friend who used to blog all the time, and I never really saw any point in it. You could probably just post what you want to say on your facebook page and get more feedback. I am sure blogging can be useful in some ways, it just seems time consuming to me. This is my first time blogging, and I have only read one blog before.
